advice about a shop
Hello,
Has anybody ordered from Scottishkilts.net? I ordered some new piper ghillies from them almost 3 weeks ago. I have not received my order and have not had luck contacting them. Any advice is appreciated.

I won't mention vendor names, but I've ordered before with delays and without explanation and still received. You just never know.

They are the same folks as Tartanweb so if you have no luck at Scottishkilts you might try them there. I ordered an 8yd 16oz IoS custom tank during their Tartan Days sale (still going on I might add) for under $300 including shipping---that was at the end of March and I am still waiting also. Hoping it arrives before my trip to Scotland at the end of May.

I ordered my IoS tank from them and it came in the time allotted and is very well made. I also have an Argyle coat and vest and various hose from them and have been very pleased. The also ship Royal Mail so you don't get hit with massive duties.

I usually order "clan" related items from scottishkilts.net with no hitches. Some items are custom made (e.g., Kilts) and take a while to receive.
I will say they aren't very communicative, but you should have received something saying your order was shipped.

While I know some have had problems, I must say that I have ordered 5 kilts from them, three within the last 4 months due to their special offer, and these last three all arrived within 4 weeks. I did receive a notice that they had shipped, but the kilts arrived just a few days later. I sent them a positive feedback comment and received a nice reply soon thereafter.
I have also ordered two Argyl jackets, black and lovat green, and the quality of all the items seems to be good.
I hope they come through for you, even if they are not very communicative.
Tom
