    Advice on buying....

    Hi all,

Well. I have one UK, which I bought a few years back, but stopped wearing because I lost a lot of weight. Anyway, the time has come to start wearing one again.

What I would love, is the Argyll Style Kilt from Alpha Kilts, but in Scott Hunting Green(Modern). I love the modern style of the contemporary ones but not the colors they tend to come in. Its my one regret about my utilikilt is that its Khaki.

I was born in Scotland, and moved to England when I was 8, and then to Florida when I was 18. So at 24 I want to get back into my kilt.

    Any ideas?

Alpha Kilts can make the Argyle in olive green, but there's plenty of other contemporary kilt makers that can help. Check out Freedom Kilts, Union Kilts, Amerikilts, and R Kilts.

Just let me know what color you want. If you want a Contemporary in Tartan, with Pockets, I can do that too.

I was going to say that the Wizard is probably your best bet on this one, and by the time I logged in...

Thank you for all the swift replies. The thing that appeals to me about Argyll are the large pleats I think its 2.5". As well as the large belt loops. Can you make something to those specs.

I guess I need to start saving money now hah

Alpha Kilts are box-pleated. Most box-pleats are 2-3 inch wide range.
I would never copy or use another Kiltmakers design but a box-pleat is a box-pleat.

Perhaps this is a good opportunity to let out a little teaser.

Freedom Kilts will be dropping the Industrial Model this spring and replacing it with a Box-Pleated Model.

If you want a Box-Pleat Model in Tartan please send me a PM.
