Advice on hose and flashes

What color hose and flashes or ties go with this

You can only pull off the white hose and tartan flashes if you have a matching flat cap ;)

Actually, I was going to say blue hose and yellow flashes, but see that Chas beat me to it. But brown hose would look great, too.

Hose colors I would personally consider (using our Lewis hose colors as a reference).

Brown, Loden Green, St. Andrews Blue, or Yellow.

You could also use any of these as a garter color, to contrast with whatever hose you select.

I think Jay's advice is spot on; Jay, were you thinking dark or lovat green? If it were me, I would go Lovat given the "weathered" look of the tartan.

A nice subtle tartan. I'd try a Lovat or 'forest' (not dark) green shirt and hose, with yellow flashes, or a khaki (goes with about everything) shirt and hose, with green flashes.
