Advice Needed: Casual Kilts
I'm really wanting a black casual kilt, but from which maker?
Utilikilt? F-K? Union? USA? I need your advice:
What do you like best about yours?
If there was one thing you'd change, what would it be?
Thanks for helping me sort this out! (I'm leaning towards a Utilikilt Mocker...)

I own one solid colour casual kilt, and it is from Freedom Kilts. It's made-to-measure and fits like a glove. It's easy to wash, dry and care for. I will wear out before it does, and I wear it a lot. (See my avatar).
I have two things that I'll do differently with my next FK: I'll get the two slash pockets only, and I'll get one with straps and buckles.
"Touch not the cat bot a glove."

And since I've got to slow this addiction down, that's a really good selling point!

If you're looking for something that really is made like a true kilt, Highland Originals makes a very good product. Heavy canvas, configured the same way as a traditional knife pleated kilt. It comes in several different colors (including camo, I think) and is very durable. The only place I know of to get them is the Scottish Tartans Museum, but others might sell them aswell.

Just saw Turpin's post of the XMTS tank you did for him. Looks great! Will PM you about your interest in doing something casual....

They are also available from Great Scot in Nashville, Indiana. http://www.greatscotshop.com/highoriginals.htm
I wonder if this is the same kilt that's on eBay here? http://cgi.ebay.com/Khaki-Canvas-Cas...742.m153.l1262
