Am I getting shorter?!
I've noticed as I lose the girth from my waist I seem to be getting shorter as well. My Kilts are starting to get cinched down little by little but I think they are starting to fall lower on my knee possible slightly below my knee now?! From photos it still seems to look right so maybe its just me. anyone ellse see this happening with weight loss?

I don't think we are getting shorter in connection with a weight loss but less of a stomach etc. makes a kilt fall lower.
A year ago I reduced my weight by 11 kilos and some, but not all, of my 24" long kilts now do look to the long side. Before then 24" was just bearable. 23" was much better and now I order them 22½" or even 22".
Picture shows my newest aquisition, a 5 yard 22½" long kilt in Colquhoun tartan.

I think some of my issue may be that the kilts are riding a little lower with not so much girth to hold onto. Plans are to move the buckles an inch to snug everything up. will see where I stand on length after that.
When I started wearing kilts some 7 months ago I wore a size 48 kilt at its largest hole now I'm down to kilts around 46 at thier shortest hole so the loss of girth has been fairly dramatic. Some of my friends who hadn't seen me in awhile told me they wouldn't have recognized me aside from the kilt.

I think it's a result from the weight loss... The weight holds the kilt out as well as up and as you loose the weight it slims and hence the fabric hangs lower

When you were first measured for your kilt length, the tape measure went over your abdomen down to the knee. Obviously (good work, btw), you now have less for the tape measure to go over. Doing the measuring now with a smaller abdomen will give you a shorter measurement than previously.
