Avon Breast Cancer Walk Pink Kilt?
I have signed up to walk in the Avon Breast Cancer Walk next May, and i am starting to train for it. It is a marathon and a half (39 miles, done over two days. NO WAY am I going to walk that kind of distance in trousers (the horror, the chafing!). Given that, is there some inexpensive way to come up with a pink kilt for a big guy? I know about Pink Death, but I really can't afford even a casual normal kilt that I am only going to wear once. Any bright ideas?

How about going to your local fabric store and getting a pink fabric then make an XKilt, and hey if it takes a Real man to wear a kilt it takes a real man and a half to wear a pink kilt.

What a mischievous chap you are Mr Cavebear58! Nevertheless, a great idea to get a sponsor for this well deserving charity event.

Try an ebay search for pink plaid fabric.

You may find some good suggestions for tartan in that thread.
Sadly, the original poster has not updated us on the choice of tartan his wife made. I hope she is alright.
