Bearkilt Styles

I was curious as to what peoples favorite style of bearkilt is. I'm looking for something casual, but comfortable. What would you guys suggest?

I guess the question is... Does bear make a kilt that is not casual and not comfortable? Probably not. Back to square one.

I own two of his Grizzly-cut kilts, and they're beyond awesome in the construction and look. DEFINATELY original and rugged in look. I always get comments about how great it looks from people that really know kilts. It's definately a kilt in the overall look, but the design makes it look more "woodsy" or "outdoorsy". My latest one is a thing to behold! Eventhough the apron is the Grizzly design, the pleats in the back look like a traditional with the hang and uniformity. Add to that the fact that it sits comfortably on the hips and almost feels like it's not even there... and that's one great kilt.

I like the classic cut, it looks very much like a traditional handmade kilt you might get from places like Hector Russell. I get just as many compliments from my Bear kilt as my House of Edgar.

I guess what it boils down to, is what you think would look best on you.

I like the classic cut personally, but my next one will likely be the traditional cut in wool. The raven cut looks pretty cool too from the little that I have seen.

I have a Classic Cut. Great fit. Looks very good. I really like the velcro. It makes the kilt easy to get into and, unlike my Utilikilts, I don't have to wear a belt with the Bear kilt if I don't want to.

I've been waiting more than five months for my first kilt to arrive - a Bear Kilt Classic. So while I can't comment on the kilt itself, nor compare it to any other style from Bear, it's really really nice, while I'm impatiently waiting, to hear all these nice comments.
