Best way to hang kilt in closet

My pleats tend to get a bit creased when I hang the kilt over a standard plastic clothes-hanger.

What's the best way to hang my kilt?

Thanks!

Er, cancel the question! When I posted the topic a very handy 'related topics' list popped up.

I have a bit of a different method of using 2 hangers, if I read the guidance right. I use one hanger for the pleated part, and the other catches both aprons.

That sounds just like Steves method. I use 2 hangers this way and it works well.

Stillwater Kilts sells a top quality kilt hanger made by Setco. Strong clamp and about 16 inches long. It's all I use on my wool kilts.

I usually just throw mine on the closet floor so they get that well used look.

Actually, I use the Stillwater Kilts kilt hanger. They work great and if you have more than one kilt the hangers have a small hook that you can suspend the next hanger from so it takes up a bit less space in the closet.

I roll mine up the long way and store them in the dresser.

Hang Kilt

I use two standard clothes hangers with the metal clips. One for aprons and one for pleats. Use plastic clothes pin in center for extra support. Works well and is inexpensive.
