Hi all
Just wanted some input as to what you all think of these boots..

Plan on wearing them with a great kilt (belted)
Thanks for any input

I don't see why not. Go for it.
p.s. yes, I would wear the great kilt belted. ;)

Those would look cool, even ankle height would work which is what I'm looking for.

They'll look just fine. Ren Faires and the local Scottish Guilds are chockablock with guys wearing those boots with great kilts and so on. They look good, or at least I think so...just my opinion.
They're in no way historically accurate, if that's what you're after, but if you just want something comfortable to wear that "fits in" with the feileidh-mhor, then there ya go.

Are you dressing up as a tartan frontiersman? Are you wearing them to a LARP event? Can you provide more info about when/where they'd be worn?

If you like them and they're comfortable, wear them without a second thought.

...but if you can wear it unbelted without getting arrested, more power to you!

Always a good thing to consider, no matter where you're going kilted- Will I be trapping furs and/or getting hit with foam weapons?

When I read the title, I was going to suggest those exact boots. I used to be in the SCA and I wore those with a great kilt. Not very historical, but hey, I had fun.
