    Brown Straps???

I know this question has come up before, but I cant find anything with the search. I want to replace the black straps on a couple of my kilts with brown. Does anyone know where I can purchase some?

Any local luggage repair shop should be able to turn out a couple of straps. That said, you could do it yourself -- GASP!!! -- check out Tandy leather on Google.

I use Tandy here in the UK, but they have lots of outlets in the USA:

Check out their wholesale deals - within a few months use, you could be making things for free and get an exact colour match to the other leather you are wearing.

Check with the vendors on our forum. Celtic Croft and Freedom Kilts carry replacement straps.

You may want to check with USA Kilts as well. I think he stocks brown replacement straps as well.

    Dear Stacy,

Others have made suggestions where to find replacement straps. Might I suggest that there certainly is no "need" to have the straps match other leather you might be wearing. A lot of folks get too carried away with all this matching business! That being said, though, of course if you do not like black straps by all means replace them.

    Good luck.

I have a small number of brown leather straps that I had L&M make for me. If you want, I can sell you a set. Just PM me.

The job is so small, why not get yourself a piece of supple leather, a razor blade, and make your own...?

Check with your local discount store and look at brn dog leashes - will already have the latch installed. Get a couple and your local shoe repair should be able to sew a buckle on, set them up for you.

I have just placed an order for 100 more Brown Kilt Straps w/ Brass Buckles.

I should have them in the shop in about a month.

I'm sorry but the supply I had had run very low and I had orders that would have used up all of them. So I re-ordered.
