    I'm with those that go for any coloured tweed jacket. As you already have a black formalwear jacket, I think you should steer away from the grey tweed.

    I agree with the others that grey is no more formal. Where I might differ is in saying that I prefer the darker highland green as it is less commonly seen than the lovat version. I hate being the same as anyone else and like to express my individuality wherever I can without going overboard

    Even better, a dark green with subtle overcheck

    That said, if you like grey then go for it
