    Craigie's Sporrans

I have been unable to contact Craigie by email, or phone. Is he still in business? Anybody know? I would like to have my money back if his business is gone.

Their website domain name is for sale/sold...

Can we have some more details? When did you order, last contact, how long it was supposed to take, etc?

Also, how did you pay? If it's by credit card- contact your company. If it's by paypal and you USED a credit card (rather than paypal balance or bank balance) they should still be able to go to bat for you.

    Craigies

I went thru PayPal, out of bank, ordered mid-August, then no contact! So called both numbers listed-they were disconnected. Now I want my money back!

With Paypal, you have 45 days to report a problem and start the process of getting your money back. You are still within that window.

No contact for 1 month from the seller? It sounds like you've got a fair claim- unless you were promised 6 week delivery (or similar).

Unless there's other info we don't know, I'd start the refund claim process ASAP, before your 45 days lapses.

I don't believe that he's still living, unfortunately. Not 100% sure, but I'm pretty darn sure. I do think that there's someone still making sporrans for them, though.

The business continued after his departure. The web site was up 16 days ago, but had disappeared 13 days ago. The phone numbers were disconnected. I posted a similar question then. It is sad, as they had some fine work. You can get the phone numbers off the Google cached web pages, but ... I think there is no answer.

If it were my money, once all forms of communication go dead, I go for a refund.

Paypal has a very limited window. 45 days isn't a ton of time for custom work. I am currently backed up ~60 days right now. Signs like disconnected phones and domain names that have gone inactive/for sale generally point to a big problem.

If you have no way of contacting the business you gave your money to, it is (in my book) time to panic. But that's me, and I like my money, and get very cheesed-off when bad things happen to it.

    RE:Craigies

I have already contacted PayPal, and have until the 6th of October, so yeah! I have started the process, and will collect. They had fine work, it is unfortunate!
