    Criticism Wanted

Greetings from Dallas! My first kilt is here, from Stillwater. It's a lovely Lamont Weathered tartan. I'm planning on making my public debut this weekend at the North Texas Irish Festival. The pics below are of me in what I plan to wear. So, please advise me on what I have right, and what I need to improve. BTW, the boots are my original issue combat boots from Basic Training. Let's not discuss how long ago that was! Oh, I'm pretty thick-skinned, so don't worry about hurting my feelings. I'm open to all constructive criticism.

P.S. I am wearing hose, they're rolled down to the boot tops.

I tried to paste the location into my browser and it did not work either. I host my photos at www.photobucket.com it is free to open an account and they make it very easy to post photos.

Hey, the emperor called and said he'd like his new clothes back!

Oh well, keep trying, Sire. It looks like the web site where you are storing your photos (http://www.hunt101.com/) will not let us see them without an account. Can you unlock them to the public?

    Welcome to the rabble.

I see the photos. You look good, you really do, but here's some nit-picky things:

-Have the kilt go to the middle of the kneecap. Granted, it is personal preference, but I like the middle-of-the-knee better.

-Your kilt hose look like regular socks. Try one of two things: pull them up and wear them like regular hose or pull them up and then just scrunch them down. The latter makes it look a bit more casual and hose-like.

Other than than, you look fine! Even the kilt pin is perfect!

Can see them now. Firstly you do need kilt hose even when scrunched down. Match the colour of the shirt or pull a colour from the kilt. Belt higher and smile your kilted. Now you've got it. Welcome from Ontario, Canada.

I can see you fine and you look pretty good! The only suggestion I would make is to wear your belt a bit higher. At the height you have it, the kilt may want to fold over. I wear mine so the belt covers the top buckles. It appears you are wearing the kilt at what I would call midrise as opposed to bellybutton. The belt should be there also. Just one mans opinion so regardless...................................
