Which ear to wear a beret over?

Here is a picture showing an extreme in kilting, matching one's outfit to one's pet, or is that vice versa?

Wow. You're right, Jamie I didn't know you were military. Although in civilian life there is no 'proper' way to wear a beret.

As Grant mentioned your a civilian so it doesn't really matter, but traditionally berets are puled over the right ear with any insignia over the left eye.

Thanks for the explaining. It just feels more natural that way. I wear my balmoral cap in the manner you describe above, but I rather have too as the ribbon is on the left side.

Other than in your pics, I have never seen a balmoral or a beret that could be worn pulled down on the left. I've been curious as to where you got it.

The London Irish wear a caubeen that is pulled over the right ear:

In that picture it is definitely over the right ear, but the caubeen is worn by Irish regiments over the right ear as seen below:

I bought that hat right after high school from a shop in Santa Cruz's Garden Mall (long since gone). I think it has just taken on the shape after some 2 decades of being worn that way.
