    ebay kilts

Which dealers have you dealt with? How have the products been? There are so many, you have to be careful if what they are describing is correct, I don't want to get shafted by someone...so I was just curious as to other peoples experiences.
    Thanks,
    Chad

    In my early Kilt days,
I bought a 'Pride of Scotland' tartan kilt from a company by the same name. It was fine, no complaints at all.
Also a Denim Kilt from 'Camo Kilts' likewise o.k.
and a couple from I think it was 'The Kilt store'.
    and of course 'Frugal Corner'
I got a Utilikilt from Ebay too.
All were on EBay, and all were most satisfactory.

These days though, I tend to go direct to websites, and still shop at Frugal Corner & Stillwater Kilts direct, as well as others.

Trefor in another thread shows off his new 8yd true Braveheart tartan in 16oz from this guy and it really looks great. I have the exact same thing on order and am eagerly waiting/jonesing its arrival.

I have bought other bits and pieces like hats, ties, fabric, and other accessories from a variety of vendors. You get what you pay for. Happy hunting.

I usually try getting what I want from this guy in UK; CARSE OF GOWRIE Kilts and Kiltmaker (the ebay-shop).

He's fast, have fairly good quality on the items (even the cheapest ones) and honest.

Ebay seller Bobilicious (Bob Chalmers) doesn't make kilts himself, but uses very good kiltmakers. I would avoid one in Scotland named Vorland.

    re

My only ebay experience in buying a kilt was from the ebay store fredonline321 and I think I got a good kilt for what I paid for. No complaints at all with them.

The only kilt I ever bought off eBay was from our own Freddie in the UK.

I've bought quite a few budget kilts from Heritage of Scotland and Fredonline321 via ebay, and I have not been disappointed, all have been good value for the price paid, but I would never use ebay to buy an expensive kilt. For a more upmarket kilt I would deal with a local kilt shop or with one of the kiltmakers on this forum.
