    Fabric

Does anyone have any sources for poly or acrylic fabric in Black Stewart that isn't too expensive? I have a project in mind but not alot of cash. I'm looking for at least 12 to 14 yards

Phil, I just hate to take their time with email considering Bear and the others use that for their business and they don't need unrelated emails cluttering up their inboxes. I prefer to let them contact me here since while they're here it's their own time rather than company time.

You can try the JoanneFabrics.com (or something like that address). They've had the poly Stewart for a long time, and might just have it up again. There's also a place called sewfancy.com that carries tartans once in a while. Worth a look see.

Worse comes to worst... hit your local Hancock Fabrics or sewing place. You never know since that's a pretty common tartan.

This time of year all Joanns has is the Waverly type plaids Though once in a while Hancock has something decent, but the local stores have it pretty much cleared out now for the summer fabrics. I'll definatel check out sewfancy. Thanks.

I found a tartan my wife likes. I posted it to my gallery. The pic isn't the best but any opinions are welcome.

Looks kind of dark Bubba, is it a clan tartan? It almost looks like a weathered or a hunting tartan. It'd make a great knock-around kilt.

I go along with Jamie, it would make a nice looking kilt. I do like the way it looks, and seeing you around town with the Mrs on your arm, you two would be the best looking couple around. Even without your wife you would look good in it, especially since she likes it.

Say Bubba... How do you handle the selvedge issue on the kilts you make? A quality selvedge seems to be of little or no importance to the fabric mills these days.
