Fez or No Fez, HELP PLEASE ?????
Tonight, we have a special thing going on at the Shriners Hospital for Children in Tampa. I am planning to wear my MacQueen kilt with a white dress shirt and MacQueen Tie picture below along with a black argyle jacket.
My question is can I wear my FEZ???? One of the Highlanders in the Pipe Band says NO!
I can understand that if I were wearing my uniforn shirt with military sporran and spat, but I am not...

A Fez for those who don't know, is that fun hat on my head..

Wear the Fez by all means. It is the symbol that you are using to show others the reason you are making the visit.

The Kilt and the Fez are both red and would match. I'm sure they would compliment each other other. Wear the Fez.
-
I would say wear it no matter what since it is a symbol of the organisation that is hosting the event. The fact that it also happens to match quite nicely is an added bonus.

Your choise of headgear is up to you, but I dont think the Fez looks right with the kilt(my opinion)
-
Certainly the Fez isn't usual headgear for a kilt but I can't see that as a major problem.

Fez like headgear was very popular in the UK in Victorian times, both in the military and civilian. Crimean War and Egyptian fashion influences.
Worn slightly tilted...like a glengarry.

I had this one made for me years ago, cross stitched blood red velvet, black tassel.
