When you have a chance, check out the charity shops, I have been able to get a couple of great sporran straps. They started life as very long narrow belts. Two of mine were for twice around wraps for a dress design long out of fashion, and two for when men were wearing very thin belts with trousers. The whole lot of five belts for under a fiver.

My first training was in Aikido, with a great emphasis on relaxed movement, correct distance and timing, and I found dance very helpful. Dancing on stage has been particularly useful, as you learn to match motion to very variable performances and avoid obstacles, all without actually looking
