Derek, I think the Jones tartan is the choice. Two reasons, 1) it looks great and 2) what a wonderful way to honor your wife! The blue looks good on you!

i am leaning toward the blue - woudl make your wife very happy for you to wear a cilt in her honor and i am sure many of the others on the board here can testify to the benefits of keeping your wife happy when it comes to cilts...
ITS A KILT, G** D*** IT!

The ancient Gunn is a beautiful tartan, but I also think the Welsh Jones would be the best choise...it's beautiful, it's Welsh, it's Elaine...so it's you
(Keep the ancient Gunn on your wish list )

I'd lean for the Jones. It also has the benefit of you having to aquire a new jumper, perhaps a nice surplus RAF-type.

Wearing a tartan is a matter of respect and honour - what a way to show your appreciation for your wife!

If everything else is equal, the Gunn will look really nice in a kilt.

I would go with the Jones tartan for the reasons already mentioned.

I think I have to agree. The blue and green in the Jones are quite beautiful. Go with Jones and match your wife.

I also like the Jones of Wales, although either one looks like it would be a great choice. I like the blue though because it's more unique.
I'm sure there must be an "Outlaw Jones of Wales" joke to be made here somewhere, but I can't seem to find it. Does Clint Eastwood ever wear tartan? Might be a good choice for him.
