help for tonight
Ok, I have an SCA Meeting and a Graduation Party to attend. which tartan should I wear? Irish National or Black Watch?
should I go casual (t-shirt and chuck taylor shoes) or semi-formal (button up shirt and dress shoes)?
thanks!

I personally prefer the Irish National tartan over the Black watch. As for whether or not you should go casual, I would say since it's a graduation party, formal would probably be prefered. Just my opinion though.

Sorry I will have to disagree with my friend Ayin, I think the black watch with button up shirt and dress shoes would be the way to go. But thats just one mans opinion.

high-school graduation hehe. and its for one of my good friends. I doubt there is any sort of dress code. I think I'll go with a button up shirt 1/2 buttoned with a nice T-shirt under it.

its a tough call. I love my Irish national (SWK economy) but the blackwatch is a bit better quality (SWK Standard). I think I'll go with the Irish national. its hotter than sin out here!

I usually operate under the theory that I can always dress down that is take the dress shirt off and slip on a more casual shirt or a t-shirt.

Ok, I've decided on black dress shirt with T under it. Irish National. unfortunately I don't have a black sporran belt so it looks like I will have to wear the brown sporran.
well thanks for the help!

I know you have better things to spend your limited budget on, but getting both black and brown leathers for my kilts was one of the best things that I ever did. It really broadens your clothing choices and allows you to use more things from your panted closet!
