    House of Tartan Advice Needed

Greetings everyone. I am just doing some research on House of Tartan before I consider making a purchase there. I am interested in designing my own tartan and then registering it in the fairly near future. I wanted to know if anyone has ever done this, and if you have, what method did you take and who did you use. I know the process that is needed to actually register a tartan, I just would like to know what website you used.

If you did use House of Tartan's website did you have a good experience both with the quality of the kilt, as well as the price you paid. A group of us are actually going to buy in bulk and probably buy around 30 yards or more.

Any input you might have would be greatly appreciated as I have come to respect most of your opinions in the last couple months. Thanks!

send Matt Newsome a PM or email. He registered the Xmarks tartan and can likely help you out.

Matt designed the Sackett tartan for me, a couple others for other members here, and helped with the Fitzsimmons tartan as well. A quick search for "tartan design service" should turn up a few threads.
And if I remember right, Matt is less expensive than House of Tartan. Not cheaper, but less expensive - more service for a lower price.
I would definitely get in touch with Matt.
I am easily moved for sympathy for dogs, far more so than for humans, because dogs do not understand. There is no way to explain that you will return, that the vet will make it all better, that they cannot go shooting today because that is not what today is about. They cannot work out that their misery is finite and will some time end, and so their misery is magnified.
