    Junk in the trunk

I bought a UK and had it chopped to 21.5" in length. My UK measurements says from belt line to knees while kneeling it should be about a 20. So I had the UK dealer alter my UK to 21.5. I now wish I had left it at 23, because the roundness of my rear raises the back to a little below mid-thigh. My advice is that if you have extra junk back there, remember to keep it covered.

OUCH!! That's not in inexpensive poor outcome, with a Utilikilt. Sorry to hear that. I wonder if you would do better with what they used to call their "beer gut cut." (they call it something else now....can't remember what) It has a bit extra length built into the back, because the gut causes the wearer to wear it low in the front and high in the back, making rearward exposure a problem with the normal cut. just a thought. You might be able to get the 21.5 that way "off the rack" with the needed extra length in the "trunk"

    Good advice to off-the-rack buyers to-be-sure! :-)
This is not a problem for bespoke kilt buyers (whose kilts are tailored to the individual using the 'Seat' measurement).

Junk in the trunk is an understatement in my situation---I am like the guy dragging the trailer made from the bed half of an old beat up pickup truck, with that loaded up like the Beverly Hillbillies. For me they don't say "Baby's got back." They say "Baby's got waaaayyyy back."

did they not tell you about the "contour cut" or as they affectionately call it the "beergut cut"? They leave the back longer with that
