    Which kilt for St. Pat's?

OK, so I have not ordered a kilt in over 3 months! After maintaining an order rate of 3/month prior to that. So I think I need to reward myself with a new kilt for St. Patrick's day. I really do not have one with a lot of green, expecially bright, kelly green! I have a USAK Blackwatch, Scottish National, and an olive UK. I am thinking about an Ireland's National, either from USAK or SWK, possibly a forest green AK, or a "Heritage of Ireland" from ebay. Any advice? OK, I know there will be advice, but I probably will not wear this other than for St. Pat's or other festive occasions, unless it is more subdued/formal than I see in the pictures. The AK forest is really looking nice, but the Ireland's national from SWK is only $90 with shipping, and that is for the 2006 model! Oh the agony of choices...

If you want a stand-out green, the SWK Irish National is hard to beat!

    KiltedCodeWarrior:

Get a better look at that kilt on eBay: Notice the unsightly seam near the fringe? For this reason alone I'd avoid this particular choice. It's also an obvious rip-off of tartan designer Polly Wittering's "Irish National" tartan (from House of Edgar). If you must have a kilt solely for St. Pat's and don't want to spend a lot of money, the "Ireland's National" from USA Kilts might be the best way to go. That's just one suggestion, but good luck with your decision.

    timing!

I ordered a USA Ireland's Nat.yesterday, It's a classy looking tartan, more formal than the Irish Nat. from SWK. But Rocky told me he could not promise delivery by March 17, so keep that in mind!

I'll be wearing my Irish National. I got it on eBay. Despite the horror stories you often read around here, it's a pretty good kilt for the money.

Stillwaters always offer a lot of bang for the buck but I've seen a sample of Rocky's Ireland's National and its just

I'm also torn...probably will go with the Ireland's National semi-traditional from USA Kilts, but the Utililkilt caramel workman's is a tempting "saffron" with an Ireland's National baja...or even my saffron leather RKilt...

Think for those of you that will be around flying ales that the USA kilt might endure a lot better...

I have the SWK Irish National 2006 model. I love it, and I've gotten many compliments on it. Hard to beat for $80. I'll be wearing it to our local Irish Pub (Paddy Malone's) on St. Pats Day.

I'll be wearing the lovely green kilt I got from Rocky, Irish Nat would be good too.
