    Question Mills

My clan is having a hard time getting their kilt material woven. We'd been using a mill in Canada, but we're getting screwed by some sort of licensing agreement that we have nothing to do with. Looking for a mill that does short runs and won't break the bank. I am trying to come up with a solution to help get other guys kilted. Clan Cian has a proprietary tartan and the chief is hanging on to the thread count. I'm also thinking about 4 and 5 yard kilts as another possibility, but I really would like to loose this mill and this vampire who is getting a commision for doing absolutely nothing. PV kilts would be cool also. Any Ideas?

If the Chief has the rights to the tartan there really isn't much you can do about it other than create your own similar but slightly different tartan and make it available to all Clan members without royalty.

I'm trying to help the chief out. He's getting screwed and he's looking for options. I'm doing the leg work.

What is the licensing agreement and who is getting a commission? Most any mill would be glad to run it I'm sure as long as they have the permission from the one who has the rights to it and the required minimum order is met.

Don't know all the details. The mill is in Canada and they have an agreement where any cloth coming into the US he gets a commission even if he has nothing to do with the transaction!
