    Moths and PV kilts.

    Ok, I been reading around the forums and I stumbled upon a post about moths in a kilt kloset and it scared the bejesus out of me. I live in North Central Florida near the woods and moth (among other flying pest) run rampid in the area. I'm about to buy my very first kilt from USA Kilts and it will be a PV material. Will the moths utterly destroy this thing or is PV safe from thier wool thirsty hunger?

    PV, or poly-viscose, is a blend of two synthetic fibers, polyester and viscose, better known in the US as rayon. Neither is a food stuff of clothes moths that are so nasty with our woolies like kilts, jackets, hose, headgear, and sweaters. So PV kilts are safe to the best of my understanding from moths.

    Indeed, animals will not generally eat synthetic materials, as they can get no nutrients from them. Just to reenforce, your kilt will be quite safe.

    Ha!
    Aching for an hour's sleep, dozing off between;
    'Heard the rotten rivets draw when she took it green;
    'Watched the compass chase its tail like a cat at play--
    That was on the Bolivar, south across the Bay.
