    Mountain Hardware Elkommando sizing

I want to get an Elkommando as my first non-UK kilt, but I'm not sure how a 30-32 waist on a UK translates to the Small-Medium-Large sizing Mountain Hardware uses.

Any other skinny guys have experience with these?

Not sure where you are, but some of our local outdoor outfitters carry them. You might look for an REI or maybe even a Cabela's if you're in the States, or Valhalla Pure or similar in Canada.

    Trying on is always best.

I wear UK Mockers in 32, and my Elkommando is a medium, fits just fine.

I was looking at these, and thought I should go with a large, as my UK is maxed out at 46", but my jeans are 40-42"

I'm 36" in summer and up to 38" in winter and the Large fits both.
For your waist I'd recommend Medium.
Given the low belly snaps the Small might be too much of a stretch (literally).

    Thanks

Well, Old Hippy, couldn't find it on REI's website, and I don't remember seeing them in store. And Cabella's is vaguely disturbing to me for some reason.

Looks like a medium is the consensus. Ordering now. Thanks for the advice.

The medium Elkommando fit me perfectly about the waist and length. I generally wear a 32"X32" in jeans or slacks.

I wear a 32-33 UK and a Med Elkcommando fits slightly on the "loose" side, but i can adjust the belt for a proper fit. I got mine at www.moosejaw.com. Took about 2 weeks to get order.
