I'm gonna need to do this to the cheapo Scottish National I bought on Ebay the other day.

You're right - if you want to make a kilt a little bigger, you typically can't move the buckles very much before the underapron starts to show.

I just moved the buckle it took about 10 mins to take it off re-position it and sew it back up, thanks everyone.

Is there a standard way of measuring to ensure you moved the buckles and strap such that you have the same relative measurement. I bought a Davidson Lochcarron on Ebay and it seemd that the under-apron and over-apron don't close to the same extent when on the same holes. I need to move then all a bit anyway (make it smaller) so if there's a better method than guestimating, please tell me now.

    thanks

I think I'll be in need of alterations in the near future. I realized this weekend that I only have one notch left on the kilt and I'm on the last notch with my belt and it's too loose!!

I don't want to get anything altered just yet as I'm still dropping in size!! You gotta love Weight Watchers!!
