    Moving belt loops

I see a problem with my DIY traditional kilt. I positioned my kilt buckles and straps as described in TAK, but afterward noticed that I need to tighten my waist strap to the last hole (and not somewhere in the middle). I'm even thinking of moving this buckle to solve this and have possibility for tighter fit.

What's bothering me a bit is the fact that this moving will cause the belt loops on the back to move of the center (toward left hip). I can see this even now, but moving strap will make this even more obvious.

What is general practice is such case:
    1. moving both loops back into center?
    2. moving only one loop to correct of center look?
    3. leave them as they are and don't bother?

    Thanks!

Yes second option is the most appealing and practical. Just that loops end a bit more apart then it would be perfect. But who'll notice that besides me

You could remove the belt loops altogether, just another option.

I don't use the loops on my kilts. It is a matter of preferance.

My kilt does not have, and does not need belt loops, so my advice would be to remove them.

    Kind Regards,

    David.

As you can see, you thought you had a problem, and once again the members her had all the answers. I agree to move one to the center look, just my opinion!

    hmmm

Why would moving the strap make it more obvious?

I never put my kilt belt through the belt loops - they might help some guys with the sporran straps though. I don't find much use in them.
