I have enjoyed spending some time at Grace Cathedral. I am certain that you will be welcomed by the congregation.
Are you planning on walking the indoor or the outdoor labyrinth, or both?
    Have fun!

It was a docent tour of the church so there wasn't really any time to walk the labyrinths. I wore my SWK Black Stewart (which I discovered later I had singed two small holes in with pipe embers. See earlier post). One of the ladies in our group took a picture of me in front of the Bishop's doors with her camera beacause the batteries in my camera had died. When she e-mails me a copy, I will post it since no pics=didn't happen.

Since I was an infant the last time I was inside Grace Cathedral, I had no idea how enormous it is. Of course that was before Bishop Pike decided in 1962/1963 that it should be even BIGGER than it already was. It really is a beutiful church. Having lived in S.F. until recently, I wonder why it took me so long to visit where my parents were married and where I was baptized.

A lot of Padres and parishoners on this board wear kilts to church. The few times I've visited a church I've been kilted. Never an issue....at least Stateside. Might be something to check out before going kilted to a church in another nation.

I always wear a kilt to my regular parish on Sundays and it is always well received. I wore my SWK Black Stewart kilt on Saturday for the tour and got lots of compliments.
