i like the last picture of you above. It's the outfit you use in your avatar (minus the fez) correct? Is it possible to just swap out the jacket....white for black? or would that look silly?
I dunno...i just really like black hose and the black vest....to me black is more dignified than white. I understand you HAVE to wear a white jacket...but what can you do to the outfit to tone it down?

Cloves,

My Avatar is a regular Tux with pants. I do like the idea about White PC Conversion with a Black vest, kilt and black hose.

Shriner,

Insteed of doing a whole new PC conversion just take your white eton jacket to a taylor and get it fitted so that it draps well on you add buttons that match the cantel of your dress sporran and you should be good.

OZ,

You should get your FC soon. I got mine on Saturday. They just received a huge shipment in. While their service isn't any where like SWK, they answered my e-mails.

First, they blend with the black shoes, so that neither shoes nor hose are accented.

Second, they make kilt wearers look bottom-heavy. Throws off the balance of the whole outfit.

Sorry Brother, but the white waiters' coat doesn't do it for me. It is the same problem I have with the Uniformal warehouse jackets used as well. They just don't have the tailoring and they don't hold the shape that I think is especially important for a formal affair.

I much prefer the conversions I have seen members make from tailcoats. For a white jacket I would suggest a white mess jacket. You can get decently priced ones at any uniform store that sells to the cruise trade and since you are in FL that should be fairly easy. Other than possibly changing buttons there is no tailoring needed as it is a short, fitted jacket already.
