    Nervous

The weather has been brill of late and looks like continuing to do so for a while, which means I better get me cap out and shades. I must admit I'm a little edgy about going out in a cap and shades as well as my Cilt. Either of the two (cap/shades or just my Cilt) on their own I don't have a problem with. But all together it looks to me to be all a bit 'up front' 'posey' whatever you want to call it and I'd hate to come over like that. If anyone can confirm those thoughts or tell me otherwise I would be grateful. Heres the piccy ..

I think it's fine Derek. I do the same thing myself at times. You're wearing the cap and shades for practical reasons, not fashion.

Of course, the color of that cap is all wrong. You have to coordinate it too.

I must admit That I'm not a caps person I just don't like them I use aBuff quite a lot however thats more Pirate like.. Sunglasses I see no real problem with. Everyone wears them anyway.

No one will notice your caps and glasses while wearing your kilt anyway

...hehehe... spanish garments in Norway... sounds good!

Regarding the use of cap and glasses,... even being a cap user sometimes I prefer just the glasses for kilt use.

Sunligth could be very annoying and nobody will criticize you in a suuny day!
However, if you want to be more kilt-like you might wear a balmoral or other tartan hat. As you like!!!

Looks fine to me Derek, other than you look a little cross in that piccy! If you don't like the ball cap look, but still want to wear some kind of covering, a Balmoral or similar has been suggested, or even something completely, like an outback type of hat, as I wore here. I think it would look especially good with the cilt in your pic, and the color hose you are wearing.

    Derek,
It looks fine to me. I think there are likely some styles and tartans that lend themselves to baseball type caps more than others, and sunglasses are almost a necessity. Really , I think the ensemble looks fine.

Lookin' good. If you want something slightly more traditional without going for the full-on bonnet, I've always thought a tweed cap looks very nice with a kilt…

For anyone that's intrigued by the "Buff", Sportsman's Guide has something similar in the Headwear section of their Military Surplus. They only have O.D. in wool, but the Dutch version is 3 100% wool scarves for $11.97, and the Czech version 5 "wool blend" scarvesfor $11.97.
