Which outfit for the Highland Games looks best to you?

I tried out two possibilities for the Portland Highland Games this Saturday, 7/18, I'm leaning toward the more casual look w Henley T-shirt, casual shoes, as the Highlander Shirt looks a bit too Ren Faire and likely to be too warm for the forecast mid-80's temps.
    What do you think?

No question, I lean the same way as you and for the same reasons. I'd go with the henley "t" and casual shoes for sure.

    The second.

I prefer the look of the second -- and the practicality if you're worried about the first choice being too warm for the anticipated weather.

Number 2 for the reasons you stated already.

Anything that doesn't involve white socks

Seriously I'd go with #2 as #1 looks a bit costumey to me.
