Royal Stewart with a darker look...

I have severely outgrown an old kilt from Glenisla, the tartan is my favorite ever version of Royal Stewart, I was wondering if some of the pros could point me in the right direction to find a kilt, or material similar?
The pattern is identical to other Royal Stewart Moderns, the main difference is that the 'white stripe' is very much muted, and the overall Red is a deeper, darker color.
I have tried Locharron, Strome, and others 'tartan finders', and I don't care as much about the price, or even (sorry, gentlemen!) the quality of the material if I could just find something like it.
Has anyone an idea?

I'm afraid I cannot help you, and I don't want to be accused of "hijacking" this thread but...

One of the nicest examples of Royal Stuart I have ever seen is this kilt that belonged to the Duke of Windsor. I am sure that you, just like him, can have the tartan woven to your specifications.

I think Matt Newsome, through the Scottish Tartans Museum, can have the tartan woven to your specs, and in a high quality material. It sounds like you still have the old kilt, so there's your swatch.

A picture of the tartan would help. If nothing else, I could send a sample of it to the mill for them to try and match.

House of Edgar's "Muted" Stewart of Appin (1842 Variant) seems like it might qualify, in terms of color shades.

I would really like to have Matt make me a jacket and vest set like that (or the aforementioned "Wallace"-style) ---with a box-pleated kilt in the same fabric if there was enough material! Unfortunately, I can't afford to buy it on credit, just now :-(

I've noticed that Marton Mills and Batley's versions are a LITTLE darker than others...
