    Someone with Fashion sense please.

I'm going to a wedding this weekend, just as a guest and was wondering if it would be ok to wear a tweed muti-colored type jacket with black sporran, belt, and shoes. By the way, the kilt I'll wear is a saffron one.

The kilt jacket is brown with alittle red and black. I wish I knew how to post a picture but, alas....
    Thanks for any help.

I hope this works. If so you'll see my jacket.

The jacket color sounds like it would go ok with the kilt. Unfortunately, black leathers will look pretty bad with that setup.

If you're stuck with black leathers and a saffron kilt, consider ditching the jacket and wearing a black dress shirt. What color are your hose and flashes?

If the jacket is a regular blazer type worn with trousers, it will be too long.

If the weather is nice and warm, I will toss the jacket and wear a vest.

    This is true, of course.

I'd hesitate to wear a vest without a jacket. It'll look like you stepped away from the bar for a moment and need to get back. It's the look of someone who's currently on the clock.

depending on the weather I would go for a vest as well. I'm thinking more of a sweather vest that compliments the kilts colors.

Hopefully you have hose to match your shirt/sweater and/or your kilt.

Go and have fun but don't show up the Bride

'Someone with Fashion sense please' is not me but:

I wear my Harris tweed kilt jacket (greenish, but flecks of brown, blue, grey, beige and cream) with black accessories. What's not to match? Black is fine!

Yes, it would be nice if the jacket were kilt cut (shorter than a standard sport or suit jacket) but unless this is a formal Scottish wedding complete with plaids and pipers I'd wear that outfit in a heartbeat.

Love the tweed with the saffron kilt.

Oops, just noticed the date. The wedding has probably already happened. Hope all had a good time.
