    Special pocketed Sporran

I just saw a sporran that a guy had that I met at a convention. It had two pockets, the sides were expandable, the leather was fairly soft, and it had a special pocket inside, on the back lining for a cell phone. I asked where he got it and when he told me I thought I would remember. It was around $100 and now I can't remember where he bought it. Does anyone know where I could find one like this?

You don't have to be Scottish to be comfortable!

    Question Re: Special pocketed Sporran

It sounds kind of like a leather Stillwater 'Nightstalker' sporran, or maybe a Thorfinn ?

Those are the only two that came to my mind.

And I'll add this; if it was one of those, and he paid about $100, he either paid a little too much, or got a bargan, respectively....

Yep, I was thinking that, also.

I suppose it was probably another sporran, but I'd imagine that either of the two mentioned would fit the bill well.

    Re: Special pocketed Sporran

My brown leather Nightstalker, bought this year, does NOT have a phone pocket on the back lining.

    Re: Special pocketed Sporran

I can't release a photo yet but I have been working with L&M Highland Outfitters on a new sporran line.

    My design requirements were

    Traditional styling.
A main compartment that will actually hold stuff. (A standard paperback book + my 2" thick wallet at a minimum.
Then two additional, seperate, storage areas for other stuff like a business card case etc.
Then pockets inside for cellphone, pens and a key hook.

I have been wearing the first prototype for three weeks. I sent a request for some changes and hope to have the second prototype very soon.

Think of the classic look of a standard, three tassel, leather day sporran, holding as much, if not more, than a Nightstalker, made to the famous L&M quality standards.

Hmm... Can't wait to see the photos (and the price tag) of this one. Sounds like a dream come true sporran.
