    Tightening a Kilt

If I only need to get an extra inch of tightness in the waist would a new punch in the leather on both straps (left and right) be a good option? What is the best approach to making those holes?

I recently put a thread on this forum asking advice about the very issue of tightening up a kilt. Barb T. gave the most appropriate answer. I did not tighten up the inner apron, as it was fine. It was the outer apron that was a tad long, so I moved the buckles on the right side 1" and that was all it took.

If an extra hole in the strap will do the trick and you have room on the strap for it, then that is your answer. If you don't have a leather punch, wear the kilt to Home Depot and ask them to demonstrat how it works.
