Urgent advice needed

I got some bad news this past Sunday, my uncle (my father's youngest brother) died of a heart attack at 55. I will be attending the funeral on Friday and I want to insure that I dress appropriately. I am planning wearing my black Argyll jacket, white shirt, black or navy tie, black hose, and black dress shoes. My question is which kilt to wear. I have a choice of the following:

USAK semi-trad in Blackwatch tartan
UK Heather grey mocker
SWK Heavyweight shadow tartan
SWK Standard Nightstalker tartan

I am going to go search for the pic Graham posted when he recently attended a funeral. Any help would be appreciated as I have to fly out this evening for the funeral.

I'd choose either the Nightstalker or Shadow tartans.

If I recall correctly, the Shadow tartan is almost monochrome black; I'd go with that one ...with the black tie.

That's what I would recommend, the Shadow.

I think I would go with the black watch semi-trad. It's still a dark tartan, but it also looks more like a traditional than the swk's.

Also, if you're going with black sporran and black argyll, do a black tie as opposed to navy. A friend of mine mentioned at a recent funeral that navy is the one color you don't want to wear at a funeral, as everyone else will be wearing black. And a black tie will go better with the black accessories anyway.

Sorry to hear of your loss.
I think you should go with the Black Watch it carries an enormous amount of respect for those lost. That's just how I feel when I see it worn.
