The wingtips are fine. Wear the bowtie. I don't agree with the guys who favor the lay-down collars. I think they look dated.

Please don't wear black hose. They look awful. The shoes get lost on the end of them. If you want that much black on your legs, wear pants.

As for the sporran, I'd get an inexpensive formal one, fur with a chrome cantle.

I think the black hose would be fine with the outfit, although with the Black Watch, your overall outfit will be very dark. With black hose, make sure your shoes are very shiny, otherwise they will tend to blend with the shoes.

Without seeing the sporran, it's hard to make the call, but I would say go for a dress sporran. Some of the fancier leather sporrans would work, but they would have to have dress elements, like the chrome cantle.

Oh, I hate the wing collared shirts. I just don't think they look right, but I will give them a pass for white tie. Definitely go with the lay down collared tuxedo shirt and black bow tie.
