    Would it work?

    Tonight is our annual kilt night held monthly. It is at the famed RKilts shop in Shakesperian Stratford Ontario. As much as I enjoy making Robert's blood boil by wearing a Freedom Kilt to his shop (and Robert has some choice words for Steve, what is a curmudgeon?). It would most likely be proper to wear my an RKilt there as I'll probably be wanting some favour or free beer. Now my camo paintball kilt has yet to be laundered having been shot by my own teammates repeatedly so I'm stuck with my leather. Now it's still a little chilly and rainy here so a t-shirt is out of the question. What is the general concensus on a black leather RKilt with a dress shirt and matching tie? Would it work? Could it work?

    It's a black leather, right? A black button-up shirt would go great, methinks.

    Yes the all black does work and I think the dress shirt/leather kilt impact would be lessened because of that. I am considering a lighter green shirt and tie combo, I'm also thinking that it probably won't work. Here is the alternative but with one major change - different hose;

    Black would work fine as well as a white with black/colored tie. Don't worry it's not that formal looking, your not wearing a jacket of any kind are you? Formal I mean!
    Black leather would be cool.

    I do have a Brando leather jacket from my motorcycling days but has shrunk* and worn from all the rain.

    Dark green or dark blue would be sharp.

    Or if you want to break up the all-black look go with a red or silver tie with the black shirt. A silver tie would give a Scottish-Mafia look

    I think it would work fine Grant, no need to wear a tie though a dress shirt with an open collar should work.

    you tell me this after I scrubbed the stain off of my red power zip on tie (which is actually kilt length)? Tried mt leather jacket with the kilt and he seemed a little much, a leather waistcoat would look good maybe I'll get Robert to make me one at a later date.

    Brian, you have called me practically every name under the sun but you've never called me a coward before.
