    8 Yards Of Heaven!

Well, I am soon to be the proud owner a hand sewn 8 yard kilt! (My first "tank.") I happened upon it on Ebay. It's a Morrison red (I have some Gilmore blood and this very tartan has been on my wish list for QUITE some time.) Neat thing is it is pleated to the green stripe. This makes me suspect it may have been a piper's kilt. I'm so excited. Oh, this was also my 1year anniversary gift from the Mrs. Life is GOOD.

Congratulations I hope the wait isn't too long, there is nothing like it, you really do deserve it, nice present.

I bet you're right, it probably was a piper's kilt. Very cool. Congratulations, cousin!

The wait shouldn't be too long (it should be shipped Monday and it's via USPS Priority which is usually 2-3 days.) As long as it get's out of the sellers door by Monday or Tuesday, I should have it by the end of the week no doubt. Can't wait.

Might be, but if the person who's wearing it in the picture is the owner, the owner is very likely a Highland dancer. The knuckles-on-hips, fingers curled stance is the starting position for all Highland dances, and the hose match the kilt, which is a requirement for Highland dancers.

    Nice kilt!!!! You'll enjoy it!

Very well could be Barb! A very good point. The seller is selling some other dancer looking hose as well. And, if it fits anyone, here is another pretty good deal on VERY nice kilt from the same seller. I also sort have connections to this tartan as well, though not so direct. But, the length was too much for me.

Do you get the nifty hose, as well? That would be VERY cool!
