Kilt #7 - Buchanan Modern Hunting!

My new 16 oz Buchanan Modern Hunting arrived by post today! (I'm off work today). It's a clan tartan of a sort in that my father's mother's (a Maitland) mother was a Gibb. Gibb is not a sept, but an offshoot of Gilbert who started the Buchanans. It's my way of not forgetting from whom I came.

I'm very pleased at the craftsmanship, by Kathy "The Kiltmaker" Lare, and the SPEED of dispatch! I wasn't expecting it before St. Patrick's Day, so I've got another reason to be kilted for the weekend festivities.

I've started right now by having a dram of Macallan 18, the best single-malt scotch in the world! This weekend will give me a chance to show off my new kilt belt and buckle from Steve's (Cavscout) Oconee Leather Works, and my khaki hose from WPG.

Pics will be forthcoming, I promise.

Congratulations on the new kilt, I will patiently await the photos.

Well, the pic I had posted got pulled. Anyway, until I get a pic done (I need to get a digital camera, that's what), you can at least espy the tartan.

Excellent, Derek! I remember when you posted it because I confused you with someone else who used to post on another Internet forum. You look just like him and he used "dawg" as a part of his moniker. You must have tho't I was from outer space, drunk, or schizo. Well, one out of three ain't bad.

Unless you want to pass out from sticker shock, you can be almost as satisfied with the Macallan 12. I was lucky - I stock-piled about 8 bottles of Macallan 18 when the price was still well below 3 digits.
