I love the Regimental Doublet and intend to have one made at some point...though I'm thinking velvet in dark green with purple lapels and cuffs!!! If you're going to go for it...go all the way!!!!
I'm quite jealous of your direct connections with Scottish culture and heritage...and think it's great that you only have kilts with you clan tartan(s). I, unfortunately, cannot claim the same...though I recently was told of Scottish lineage by a distant cousin. I know there is some...but we've all been Americans now in my family for nearly 200 years...most of my lineage being English and Dutch. | Cheers mate, thank you for the kind words. I like your idea for your regulation doublet-I plan to purchase another at some point in velvet as well, from Kinloch-Anderson. I am also looking at a velvet sheriffmuir, montrose, and kenmore. Keep wearing the kilt my man, and wear it correctly!!!
Yours aye,

I must say Kyle, as there are many ways to wear the kilt, and many "styles" I have been trying to find and collect photos of ways that I like it worn, for reference when I wear mine.
You hit my style dead center! I applause you, one, for all of the awesome outfits, and 2, for your service to our country, Thank you!!!
