New Kilt (sort of)
I just got a "new" kilt the other day. It is a Blackwatch tartan. I put new in quotes because it is actually an ex-rental kilt. It's still in great condition, so good that I wouldn't know it was a rental other than that I bought it. Buying an ex-rental also helped me to save quite a bit of money. I'll try and get some photos up as soon as I get a chance.

I'm very interested in putting some used kilts on my used kilts page. It is one of my most popular pages but nobody seems to want to sell used kilts from my site.
Kilts are garments, not costumes!

Hey, Bear, in my case, it is because I'm in the acquisition phase... ;-) I'll let Joseph of Tom's know. I know that he's got at least one UK that he wants to sell..

Glad to hear of your recent acquisition. Whether it is new or old, as long as it fits, go for it.
When I was in the business world and needed a lot of clothes, I would always go to consignment shops to purchase my business uniform (coat, tie, and pants-ugh).
Smart move on a smart kilt

Ex-Rental is the way to go. You can often find some bargins that way

The problem with ex-rentals is the limited choice of tartans.
Not too many MacGregors in the lot.

They always have them for sale. I figure they sell just about any of the rentals they have, at least that's what it looked like. The shop is in Deleware and I'll throw up a link if anyone is seriously interested
