Man, you are gonna be SOOOOO happy!
Kathy's sewing up my fifth Kathy's Kilt for me right now...or soon...
With her taking your measurements its gonna be perfect.
What a treat! Bet that kilt will still be in your family generations after you're dust in the wind.
If you have the extra fabric, she can also make you a vest in the same tartan to wear with your solid color kilts in cooler weather. She did that with the X Marks tartan for me.

Which one's in the works for you from her Ron?  Man, I need a "Kathy's Kilt" in a BAD way! I decided I'm gonna go with the US Air Force first... FIRST.

Gonna be a Scott Red Modern 16 oz Strome in honor of my maternal/maternal side. A line of guys who fought in the War of 1812 on the U.S. side and got a land grant in Indana for their service and pioneered on west winding up in Montana. Was also the musical branch of the family. My grandmother was a "circuit rider" music teacher to Montana schools back in the early 1900s. My little sister (the college professor) is in the process of writing a book about her and other's like her....the ladies who brought music to the frontier...
Anyhow, danged if the couple running the booth in Flagstaff wearing the black Clan Scott t-shirts weren't wearing that tartan. So I've had an advance look at it. Its red with green and white and I think a little black...can't remember...know I spent a LOT of time picking out "which" Scott tartan.
Boy...once Kathy has your measurements and you have your first kilt from her you're gonna be hooked big time on her work. You'll find yourself browsing tartans looking for another one for her to sew up for you.
Don't delay because of money...remember she'll go to work getting the fabric for you for a deposit. Pay the balance when the kilt...and flashes....are done. She makes a top quality flash too...good wide elastic with metal fittings.

It's a done deal. I talked to my Mom before she flew down yesterday from Alaska. She said my Dad didn't know what to get me for a graduation gift. Hmm...I had already ordered the material so it would be there when I go for measurements. Now it is even more special, graduation gift from my Dad in my Tartan; what could be better? O'Neille
