Ninth Kathy Lare Hand Sewn Kilt Ordered

Back in June 2006 the Macdonald of the Isles Hunting Weathered made my wish list. Today I placed the down payment with Kathy Lare for the kilt in 16 ounce Strome from Lochcarron - with flashes of course.

It was Galloglaich who got one from ebay, but have never seen any pics of it from him, and can't find any pics of finished kilts from it on line. His was pleated to the red stripe. Not sure about that yet. Plenty of time to decide the pleating.

Here's the only thing I have, the Lochcarron on line swatch.

Ain't it beautiful?? And its a Macdonald of the Isles based tartan which is my clan heritage - Uig and Staffin on the Trotternish Peninsula of Skye.

This will be the 57th klit I've purchased and the 49th that I still own. Been trying unsuccessfully to sell off some more that I've outgrown but I'm such a weird size.

Hard to think of it as jonesing anymore when I've waited this long to order.

Ron - Congratulations on the next kilt. I agree with the desire for pleating to stripe, and I think the red would look really striking. -but so would the white.

Hard choices. Reminds me of the hours that I stared at the HBC tartan.

    Oh, and PM sent.

Wow, that's going to be nice. I really like the weathered tartans, seem to be muted but still classy.
