As others have already said, one of these will keep you plenty warm, and you won't be the quality or the price.

I just acquired a military trenchcoat for the purpose that almost reaches the floor.

Some good ideas here, but for me in severe wet weather, it is an Inverness, balmoral and a good umbrella.
