    The Scotland Yard?

I've been looking to replace the older Clan Kilts and I have been looking at the Sctland Yard web site. Has anyone had any dealing with them?

I know they have the 'payment plan' and the kilts look nice but I'm looking for a reference.

    Anyone that can help?

I haven't ordered any kilts from them. I ordered a tie and some hose from them, and they were delivered quite quickly.

Somewhere on this forum there was a very favorable review of their services. Someone ordered a kilt from them for a wedding, but it was ordered too late for the kilt to be completed in time, so at no charge Scotland Yard sent a rental kilt for the buyer to wear to the wedding.

I sure hope that my memory is not mistaken in this case. I will try to find the post, and let you know.

I've seen the site and the payment plan is very attractive if you're buying something very expensive.

It's the best way to make people spend money.

Trouble is, their prices are pretty high.

I found the topic I was thinking of. It is right here in Traditional kilts on a budget. John in Texas was the one who ordered from them, for a Military ball.

He sounded very pleased with the product and the service.

Thanks for jogging my memory on this. I do remember the subject coming up but could not remember where...either a sign of age or my brain is crammed full and it spilled out! I guess I take more care of my Single Malt than my memory.

My wife wants to get a kilt "skirt" for her and I thought this would also be a good excuse for me.

    Thanks again,

I ordered my kilt from Scotland Yard a few years ago, using the payment plan. I was quite pleased with the service and love my kilt (Modern Russell Tartan), which was delivered much sooner than I expected. It was made in Scotland & compared to other places that I pricing kilts with, it was not that expensive.
I would definitely recommend them, especially if you want a true 8 yard wool kilt and don't have the full asking price at hand. The payment plan was very helpful.

I have ordered my kilt from Scotland Yard. The website says 8 to 12 weeks, and it took 10 weeks for the kilt from the time I placed my order to the day I tried it on. I have also ordered several other small items from them, and they were all shipped immediately. They also have decent prices.
