Thank you all for the help and advise.

I do want to redeem myself in some small way on the white hose issue. They are actually cream colored.

Off topic - I am not a Sea Bee myself but am attached to a battalion in Fort Worth for drilling purposes. I am attached to a Spec War unit for training purposes. So far I've been attached to a ship (AOE-4), an amphib combat unit (BMU-2), an airdal unit (CVN PAC), an intel unit (never did anything with them or even saw them but I was attached), a ground pounder unit (CB) and spec war. I figure if I can get into a sub unit in the next six years I will have covered every part of the Navy before I retire.

White and Cream are looked upon basically the same, rental shops started the custom of white/cream hose as they are cheaper to provide, hence, when wearing white or cream hose you look as though you rented the outfit.

Nope. Cream's different from white. In Scotland, at least.

Well, yes. That kind of goes without saying.

But even objectively, cream's different from white.

    Enjoy every sandwich.

That the topic even came up suggests to me that Drac's next pair of hose will probably be in a colour that can't be mistaken for either cream or white.
