As to the jackets, they have a really cool cotton duck cutaway for $65, but Jerry said it came in pretty short, so anyone over 6 feet couldn't use it.

The navy sweater would probably look great with a kilt.

    Did I cover everyone?
Now I remember it was from one of your links that I found this site - thanks Jim. I've saved it to my favourites now. I do have to question though, many of these items are repoductions and using the original fabric - wool. How well made are these repo kilts of 22oz wool if they sell for $295? I would hink that that wouldn't even cover the cost of the fabric alone.

Glad you found it. Their stuff is pretty good. I bought one of the aertex desert shirts for summer wear, and it's pretyt nice, too. May buy another Gordon since they're on sale and I'm losing weight.

I suspect they're foreign made which makes them cheaper. The quality is fine, but there isn't any fringe on the apron, for example, and the straps are kind of hard to fasten as stated before. I have no complaints at all about the quality of the kilt. Just remember that it's a military, WW I kilt, not a custom Kinloch Anderson, 700 buck model. But you won't ever be embarrased by it either.

They're repros of actual military kilts from the WW I to WW II period. Those didn't have fringed aprons. These beasts really are pretty comfortable to wear. I didn't like the green waistband on my Cameron, even though it's authentic, so I covered it with navy blue bias tape and I think it looks much better. Have to see how it looks on the Black Watch.

    They are made in Pakistan.

And I hear that the material is actually quite nice and well made.
