    DIY Suppliers ares?

Done search and couldn't really find what I was looking for...

How about a place to list recommended suppliers of hardware for sporrans, sgians etc for us DIY addicts?

Would save a lot of thread searching...

    Just a thought.

Although, I like the idea, it could be a bit of a two edged sword.

On the one hand, we don't have a Links section for bits and pieces.

On the other hand we have the Partners, Sponsors and Advertisers, top, right and bottom.
If we did have a Links, then in fairness all these people would have to be included automatically. Which would negate having a dedicated Links area.

So maybe only vendors of raw materials should be included.

Thta was kind of my idea, although I probably didn't explain myself very well.

Just places you can get snap hooks, rivets, etc, not kits or anything else like that.

Would make it far easier than trawling through several hundred posts.

Definitely Martin's idea. But the more I think about it the more I like it. Not just for leatherworking, but for woodworking and metal working and also sewing.

I have been searching for about two years for button thread. About the thickness of three normal threads, but if you use three threads all you get is twisting and knotting and a great big tangled mess. I found a place in Swaffham. The old boy searched and came up with the last reel - it still had the original price 1/-2d. One shilling and two pence or about six pence in today's money! I need a new supplier.
